All hail Queen Carol

Carol Vorderman has been crowned the nation's favourite over-50 beach body pipping Halle Berry and Liz Hurley to the post!

She may have hit her half century, but Carol Vorderman's hourglass figure and youthful looks make her the envy of women half her age. 

In fact, the 56-year-old TV presenter has been crowned the UK's favourite 'Fifty Plus Beach Body', and says that she feels sexier than ever :)

The nation chose the recent 'I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here' contestant as the celebrity beach body they most admired behind the likes of Halle Berry, who came second, and Helen Mirren and Goldie Hawn.

Carol recently told FEMAIL that she believes women are leading their own redefinition.  She said: 'Life for women of 'a certain age' is dramatically different to that of our mothers. We're part of the generation who pioneered the evolution of a woman's role; pushing barriers in our homes, families, careers. 

'I'm finally living the life I've always wanted and loving every second! I'm living my dream. I'm not a 'woman of a certain age' – I'm a woman of a CERTAIN age which is true of many women in this life-stage.' 

A spokesperson for JD Williams, who commissioned the research, said: 'It seems that with age comes greater confidence. It's great to see women over 50 of all shapes and sizes embracing the bikini trend. 

'How you look on the beach is not about how young or thin you are but about having the confidence in yourself to work the trend - and prove that the bikini has no age limits.'
